Haunted Places of United Kingdom

  • The Black Eyed Child of Staffordshire

Haunted pub of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire
In the heart of the town of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, The Four Crosses pub sits embedded in a haunted aura. Painted with the pattern of a zebra, from the outside there is nothing to suggest it holds such a dark and unwelcoming presence. The Black Eyed Child is said to haunt the historic building and lurks from room to room. The pubs' owner, Lee Brickley, had been freaked out so much so that he put the pub up for sale. And, despite its low price, nobody is willing to take over a business with such a dark reputation.

  • Barnes hospital: Haunted Facts You Should Know

    Barnes hospital in Manchester
Barnes hospital was a hospital built in the late 1800's in Manchester, England. Serving originally as a general hospital/nursing home and closing in 1999 due to cutbacks in healthcare, the history and downfall of the conditions of the building make this place very, very eerie. When being built there were reports of crosses being found which dated back from the periods of 450-1200 AD which implied that the sight it was built on was previously used for religious purposes. To begin with it was built in a rural area but over time estates and motorway junctions were built around it. Still surrounded by a large wood area at the rear it is situated between the A34 junction leading onto the M60 motorway. After closure the building was recognized as a Grade 2 listed building, meaning it was placed on the statutory list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest.
